CHIROCARE Offers Massage Therapy

Introducing Nicole Kenny, RMT

I was once told that to be good in your career, you have to love what you do. And, being a massage therapist is what I love! Everyday I am able to help people on their journey to wellbeing, whether it is through a series of treatments or just a relaxation massage. I take pride in what I do, and always give my best to every one of my clients that I see.

As a young child growing up in the country, in Dauphin MB, I loved playing with the pets I had. I was often found cradling my cats to sleep on my lap for hours. Maybe this was where I started to realize, that ‘relaxation’ could be my future career!?

I always knew that I wanted to help people in a way that made me feel good about what I was doing, but the path to becoming a Massage Therapist did not become clear until I attended a career fair back in high school. This is where I discovered Massage Therapy.

I still remember the day I got my first ‘mini’ massage, and exactly how I felt after. As I watched the other students staggering away from the booth after their massage with big grins and recommendations for their friends to try it, I knew I was on to something. From that moment, I decided that this was the career I wanted and I went for it.

I graduated as an RMT from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy. This was probably one of the most exciting days of my life! Since then, I have experienced the power and healing that massage offers both as a therapist and a client. It still amazes me that we are able to see results right away in most cases, whether big or small, the benefits are undeniable and rewarding to be a part of.

Since my graduation, in addition to Swedish and deep tissue massage, I have taken continuing education courses in Pre and Postnatal massage and Labor and Delivery Support which I would like to continue and further pursue.

I truly enjoy seeing the smiling and grateful faces of my clients after a massage, and knowing that I did well - That I made someone’s day a little better, a little brighter.  I believe in what I do, and urge anyone who has not yet tried massage to give me a call today (488-CARE). It will be well worth it!

Dr Sean Asks some important questions of interest to River Heights Winnipeg residents - Chiropractor River Heights Winnipeg Dr Sean Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
